Domain protection

Prevent misuse of your domain and protect your brandname

With domain protection, SpySecure® helps you prevent criminals from sending e-mails in your name. At the same time, you improve the deliverability and trustworthiness of your own business e-mail.

WHY THIS IS NEEDED

Your domain is your identity

If someone can send e-mails in your name, it directly affects your customers, reputation and revenue. Domain protection makes misuse much harder and helps legitimate e-mail arrive more reliably.

Criminals can impersonate your organisation
Without domain protection, someone can send e-mail that appears to come from your domain and mislead customers or employees.
Reputational damage and loss of trust
A single successful spoofing attempt can lead to complaints, reputational damage and doubt among customers and suppliers.
🚫
Your legitimate e-mails are delivered less reliably
If mail providers do not trust your domain, quotes, invoices and other e-mails are more likely to end up in spam or be rejected.
Many senders mean a higher risk of mistakes
In addition to your mailbox, your systems often send e-mails too, such as invoicing, CRM and marketing tools. Without oversight, the setup becomes messy and risk increases.

What we do

From inventory to continuous protection

We first map all senders and configure SPF, DKIM and DMARC correctly. We then monitor continuously and scale up carefully towards quarantine and reject. We also set up BIMI, so your e-mails look more professional and recognisable.

1
Inventory
What is currently configured and which systems send e-mail on your behalf?

We identify all senders: mailboxes, marketing, CRM, invoicing, ticketing, scanners, websites and any MSP tooling. This prevents legitimate e-mail from suddenly failing later.

Result
  • Overview of all senders
  • Current DNS records (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) and possible issues
  • Plan for clean-up and configuration
2
Configuration and clean-up
Correctly configure SPF, DKIM, DMARC & BIMI and remove old records.

We create one correct SPF record, activate DKIM for your mail platforms and configure DMARC with reporting and a clear policy. We also configure BIMI so your logo can appear with your e-mails. Everything is tested using realistic sending flows.

Result
  • SPF cleaned up and validated
  • DKIM active for relevant senders
  • DMARC record with reporting and clear policy
  • BIMI configured for a recognisable logo with your e-mails
3
Monitoring and policy enforcement
Continuous insight, checking new senders and safely tightening policies.
Domains change over time: new tools and systems, campaigns and integrations that use your domains. We monitor reports, detect anomalies and ensure new senders are added correctly without deliverability issues.

Why continuous
  • Implement new senders and changes directly
  • Continuous monitoring of all e-mail traffic in your name, including misuse by cybercriminals
  • Detection of misuse and incorrect configurations, with fast follow-up
  • Guided steps towards quarantine and reject, without risking e-mail disruption
FAQ

Frequently asked questions about domain protection

? What is DMARC and what does it deliver?
DMARC is the policy mail providers use to decide what to do with suspicious e-mails sent in your name. It helps prevent spoofing and improves delivery of legitimate e-mail because your domain becomes more trustworthy.
? Why is DMARC monitoring alone not enough?
With a “none” policy, you mainly receive reports, but misuse is not blocked. Spoofing is actively stopped only with “quarantine” and “reject”. That is why we scale up carefully, so legitimate senders continue to work.
? What is the difference between SPF and DKIM?
SPF determines which mail servers are allowed to send on behalf of your domain. DKIM adds a digital signature to each e-mail, allowing the recipient to verify that the content was not changed in transit and that the sender is legitimate. DMARC uses these checks to enforce a clear policy.
? What is BIMI and why is it important?
BIMI (Brand Indicators for Message Identification) allows your logo to appear next to your e-mails in supported mail apps. This increases recognition and trust. BIMI works reliably when your domain is properly configured with SPF and DKIM, and DMARC has an active policy (quarantine or reject). We handle the full setup and validation.
? Why is this a subscription and not just a one-time setup?
Domains change continuously: new tools, marketing systems, suppliers and additional domains. Without ongoing monitoring and management, gaps or e-mail disruption can quickly occur. With the subscription, we monitor misuse and usage, process new senders and safely scale up to quarantine and reject without blocking legitimate e-mails.
? Is there a risk that legitimate e-mail suddenly stops arriving?
If SPF, DKIM or DMARC are configured incorrectly, e-mail can indeed be delivered less reliably. That is why we start with an inventory, test all sending flows and only scale up once all legitimate senders have been added correctly.
